Lisa Shriver is one of the country's leading theatre artists with over 20 years of experience in live events, film, TV and on Broadway. A versatile collaborator, she gravitates to the development of new work and innovative means of story-telling. Her Broadway credits include the 2012 Broadway revival of Jesus Christ Superstar, Ring of Fire, The Story of My Life andThe Farnsworth Invention by Aaron Sorkin. She is also credited as an Assistant Choreographer on over 10 additional Broadway productions including The Producers, Titanic and Oklahoma. Off-Broadway, she was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Choreography for The Fiasco Theatre Company's innovative reinterpretation of Into the Woods at The Roundabout. Regional work includes several productions at The Stratford Shakespeare Festival including Caesar and Cleopatra and The Tempest, (both with Christopher Plummer) and directed by Des McAnuff. In addition to Mr. McAnuff, she has been fortunate to work with other such visionary theatre and film directors as James Lapine, Sofia Coppola, Robert Zemeckis, Mira Nair, Ron Howard, Michael Greif, Emily Mann, Nora Ephron, Roger Rees, Jason Jones, Nicholas Hytner and Richard Maltby, Jr. She has choreographed at such prestigious venues as The Public Theatre (NYC), Seattle 5th Avenue,The La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, The McCarter Theatre, Signature Theatre, Goodspeed Opera House, Westport Playhouse and New York Theatre Workshop. Lisa choreographed Phish’s legendary New Year’s Eve fan concert at Madison Square Garden for three years in a row. She has also directed and choreographed for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Disney Cruise Line. Her extensive work in film and TV includes choreographing the Oscar winning film, A Beautiful Mind and the critically acclaimed HBO film, Hysterical Blindness, starring Uma Thurman and Juliette Lewis. She was involved at the beginning of the use of motion-capture technology in film, working with Robert Zemeckis as an Associate Choreographer on The Polar Express and as the Choreographer of Disney's A Christmas Carol with Jim Carey. She was also the Assistant Choreographer on Mixed Nuts w/ Steve Martin and the dance cult hit, Center Stage. She choreographed the Netflix presentation of A Very Murray Christmas, starring Bill Murray, George Clooney and Miley Cyrus (directed by Sofia Coppola), the Season 3 Finale of Broad City and an episode of The Detour on TBS. Lisa holds a BA in History and a BFA in Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University and is a member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
